FAQs
Does the Epson WorkForce DS-51000WN replace the Expression 13000 series?
Not directly. While this model offers A3 scanning, Epson now uses CIS technology rather than the CCD technology found in the previous range. CIS is well suited to everyday document scanning, but CCD remains the preferred choice for photos, artwork and other originals where image quality and depth are important.
For these applications, we offer a range of Microtek A3 flatbed scanners with CCD technology, including models with optional Transparency Media Adapters (TMA) for scanning film, slides and negatives.
What software is included with the scanner?
The Epson WorkForce DS-51000WN includes Epson Scan 2, Epson Device Admin, Document Capture Pro for Windows and Epson Document Capture for Mac, providing useful tools for scanning, document processing and device management.
Which operating systems support the Epson WorkForce DS-51000WN?
Epson lists compatibility with Windows 11 or later, macOS 11 or later, Linux, iOS and Android, with TWAIN, WIA, ICA and SANE driver support depending on the platform.
